Rave: Dunkin Donut Delivers

No, it's not what you're thinking. They don't have a hotline yet where you can just call and have tons of munchkins delivered right to your gate. This is a very late post since I experienced their impeccable service last year because of the rant I sent on their FB page.

Dunkin Donut is one of the names that I grew up with. I remember that during my elementary days, I'm always elated with the thought of having strawberry munchkins inside my lunchbox (best paired with orange Zesto). That's why I want my daughters to feel the same excitement and loyalty for this beloved brand despite the new names in the donut industry.

Until one day, we bought a box of strawberry munchkins like we used to. Along with my daughters, I also ate some while sipping my coffee. Much to my dismay, I looked for that oozing strawberry flavor inside but didn't found any. That went on until we finished half of the box. Most moms, frugal or not, will definitely understand my discontentment since I felt that it was definitely not my money's worth.

Thanks to the social media, I was able to get in touch with them through their Facebook page. I sent a message just to give them a piece of my mind. Please forgive me grammar nazis. I didn't proofread my sentiments dahil sa bugso ng damdamin (lol).

I didn't expected any action at all except for a mere "Thank you for your review" or "Thank you for bringing this to our attention". A day after, they replied and  sent me this message.

After I gave them my number, they immediately called and apologized. I said everything is OK and all they need to know was already at the message. Honestly, with all the competition that DD is facing, I am concerned that my beloved donut brand will eventually close its stalls because they can no longer maintain their quality. They asked for my other details and said that hopefully one day they can make it up to us. And viola! Two days after, my father called me and said that somebody from Dunkin Donuts was at the gate looking for me. They came all the way from their branch in Molino just to give me these:

Two boxes of their sosyaling donuts, carefully packed and freshly made (according to the guy). He said that the management was really sorry and they do pay attention to every feedback that the customers give them. As much as possible they want to deliver the best quality products to their clients since they know that other brands can be tough to compete with.

So to you Dunkin Donut (tingali ngaling poknat!) Philippines, thank you for listening. We still enjoy your munchkins from time to time. And even though we buy from other stores and have our favorites, your name will still always be close to our Pinoy hearts. Maybe next time you can send Derek Ramsey over to give these freebies instead? =)

xoxo

That's great customer service, I should say. Not all companies would take feedback like that. Like you, I'm a Dunkin baby too (during our time, ehem, there weren't many choices except for those in select bakeries that didn't taste and look as good as Dunkin). I still buy Dunkin up to now, mainly because of Derek Ramsey hahaha!

Hahaha.. natawa ako sa tingali-tingaling Poknat! (at yun talaga ang napansin ko dahil naka-relate ako).

Er-- Great Job DD! It's nice to know that they do pay attention to their customer's needs and complaints.

Wow! I'm also a fan of DD when I was young but eventually there are a lot of competitors out there. I guess DD is really concerned with their customers not just selling with their products!

Ay oo nga, sometimes, the munchkins or the doughnuts aren't as filled as they used to be. Sana they rectify that.

I still love dunkin donuts compared to famous brands these days. DD is very affordable I do hope they will continue to improve their products that can compete with KK n JCo but still at the affordable level.
